BRP Surplus: T.O.P.O.T.C.T.A.U.T.

10.15.2009

This post marks the return of Surplus, the official outtake reel of Big Red Potion. With it comes an explanation for the very confusing title above, as well as boob talk and a bout of marble-mouthed sputtering.

BRP Surplus: Electric Horses

09.04.2009

Joe here. This week’s Surplus is a sordid affair, with talk of the Amish, celebrity, birthday hats and accents capped off with some tempered bickering between Sho & Joe. Sinan is a mean stupidhead.

BRP Surplus: Too Horrid

08.28.2009

Joe here. This week’s cybernordic Surplus starts off with some hot and heavy Too Human talk, as Gamernode’s Eddie Inzauto, WiiDS’s Jack Smith, Sinan and myself all offer our agitated opinions. After that, Sinan lets us know which game tries to make you hate yourself, Joe annoys his British friend, and everyone gets yelled at in the end!

08.22.2009

Joe here. This week’s Surplus takes you behind the sullied red curtain of games podcasting, offering a glimpse at the pre-show preparation necessary to keep this ship running at full steam. Sinan bewilders me.

BRP Surplus: Podcasting Joe-Style

08.15.2009

Sho here. For the first time ever Joe and I recorded an episode of Big Red Potion on a Thursday - yesterday, in fact. Why? Well, I think it had something to do with our special guest, Joystiq’s Justin McElroy, but it may just have been ‘cos Joe was going to spend all of our usual day, Sunday, eating fried chicken. Because we were recording on Thursday, in the middle of the day Joe-time, our Yankee friend was forced to take part during his lunch hour. This meant he recorded in the middle of a car park, in his car, mooching off some innocent dude’s Wi-Fi. Don’t believe me? Well, on Wednesday we tested out the setup you can see above, and I decided to put up the recording as a Surplus, if only for the memories. However, it will give you a sneak peek into the first ever BRP recorded from car. Fascinating!

UPDATE: Joe here. Eddie Inzauto has informed me that he recorded his first BRP appearance by mooching Wi-Fi from someone’s house while sitting in the back of his car. He is a better man than I. Check out his VS Node podcast for more from the Edster.
