Episode 15: Define Game Now
E Three, E Shmee! Well, at least until next week’s episode. This week sees Sinan and Joe joined by returning VS Node-r Eddie Inzauto and First Wall Rebate’s Trevor Dodge for a defining episode of Big Red Potion – ho ho. Yes, the pod tries to tackle a question that has plagued sociologists, philosophers, students, writers and designers for years: how do you define game? Indeed, what exactly is a video game? A whole multitude of games come up in the discussion, including Grand Theft Auto IV, Dragon’s Lair, Guru Meditation and even Snakes and Ladders, all with the touchstone of Wii Fit as the video game that might not actually be a video game. All this and Ebert-slamming in this week’s Big Red Potion.
